March....

I know it is now April and forgive me for letting my blog go so long with out a hello or shout out. I was madly busy the month of March and this month is just about as busy as March was. But I'd rather be busy then not. My final is coming up soon, so I have been busy working away on class projects and homework. That consumes most of my days when I am not working in retail. I am still slowly getting my photography business off the ground, but I have been networking with a few wedding vendors, and other local photographers in the area and letting them know about me. My only actual day off Freedom is on Sundays and that has been filled with fun friends and family activities all month long. Some exciting event's coming up that I'll be happily taking photos for are the following: Easter weekend with the fam., my nephew's 3rd Birthday, and hopefully in the next month or two my vacation. I am also looking forward to this semester to end. I loved the class, but it was deft a lot of work. Whew!

So I do promise to have some more photos up as well. I did a Birthday party photo shoot in March, and I will be posting the birthday party pics. Soon. Forgive me again for leaving everyone hanging. :)

I hope Everyone had a Safe And Happy Easter!

Cadence February 09

This Month I got to take some pictures of my friend Nicole's little girl Cadence. She was such a little ham in front of the camera. She is just a couple days younger then my nephew. Here is a sneak peak of some of the photos I took of Cadence. She is such a sweetie pie. Thanks Nicole for letting me take the pictures. I can't wait to do it again soon.

Red Velvet Cupcakes....

Okay for my favorite Cupcake blogger these pics are for you. :) I also took a picture so you can see my funky orange walls in my kitchen. It would totally go with your orange kitchen aid. :)
Was doing so well not dripping the mix onto the pan, last cupcake I messed up. Oh well not all perfect, but still where tasty. :)

Cooling cupcakes, and being the perfectionist that I am I had to scrape away some of the mess I made earlier. I was happier with it, but after I frosted I decided to take them out of the pan. :)

Ready for my 2nd cousins to dive into. And oh yeah they did. I wanted to add red hots to the cupies, but don't cha know when you try to look for something you can't find them anywhere?? I even tried the Valentines day isle at Publix and Target. So I opted for some red sprinkles I had left over from Christmas not as pretty, but the kids loved them. :)

I had no complaints. I was going to take pictures of the kids eating them, but they'd allready started munching away before I got to take the pic. Enjoy!

February Happenings...

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd catch everyone up on some cool things I've been working on in since my last blog. I have been busy catching up on a couple of school projects. I was out sick one week and have been playing catch up ever since. I had a cold in November, and thought it was gone and again in December, and finally feel like it left this month. Now I'm just dealing with my regular every day allergies. Can't a girl get a break?? Anyway enough about sicky poo topic. I am backed up with school work, but I am enjoying my class. My instructor doesn't seem to be to worried about me getting my homework turned in on time, however I try to act as if I am in a real job atmostphere and have a deadline. So I'll be slaving away at the computer tomorrow trying to get it all turned in, so I can start working on this weeks assignment.

This month and last month I have done a couple of photography shoots. I promise to post some of the shoots soon. My long time friend Mindy let me take some really great photo's of her daughter Alice, and some of her and her family. I also got a couple of great shots of her son Ben. I had a great afternoon with all of them, and the weather was perfect.

Another cool project I am working on is for a friend of mine who owns her own Organic Farm. She's got me working on a business card and brochures. Once her business is up and running I will tell you more about her farm and what all you can do there. It is really a neat Idea, and I think it will be a big hit around here.

Last weekend was the Mount Dora Arts Festival and since I had Sunday off I decided to go down there. Luckly my friend Merita lives not to far from the Festival and I was able to use her parking lot and parked for free. I strolled down the different streets with hundreds of others and got a couple of very unique pottery pieces to use for entertaining and a pretty orange vase to go in my Orange kitchen (yah heard me!! If you didn't know I really do have an Orange Kitchen).

This week/weekend I am making Redvelvet Cupcakes for work, and I'm off on Saturday and Sunday and I am going to take the day on Saturday to get caught up on my photos at an all day scrapbooking event. I can't wait to start putting some of my photography into a digital album so I can take it with me and show off my work. I am very excited about working on that project. :)

Hope Everyone Has a happy Valentines Day/Night. This weekend I am going to try and post some of the great photo's I have taken the past couple of months so be on the look out for new photos.

TTFN, Meg :)

January, 23rd 2009 (Almost typed 2008)

Sorry I haven't posted anything since the beginning of the month. I've had a couple of head colds that have been a pain and don't seem to want to go away. I finally went to the doctor on Wednesday and he gave me some antibiotics that where pretty darn expensive.

I also began class 2 weeks ago. We started our first project last week. I must say it seems like childs play so far to me, but I'm sure the projects will get more interesting and more creative. I have 2 chapters to read and watch a video all before next Tuesday.

Saturday is a a fun event. My Brother and Sister-in-law invited me to go to Disney tomorrow with them and my Nephews. Should be a beautiful day and temps will be nice and warm during the day in the mid 70's. Yay! So you know I am deft. taking my camera with me to take some (okay a lot) of pictures. :)

A few other events/shoots that are coming up so look for photo's to be up soon.

Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone,

Well this past week has been busy at work, and at home. Got down all my Christmas Decorations, and put things back in order. I've decided that for now my guest bedroom is going to be my organization zone for yard sale gatherings. Basically I'm putting things in that room for a yard sale I'm hoping to have sometime to do it next month or in March. I am saving my money for a vacation. Not sure where I'm going, but my dream vacation would be Hawaii, but that is pretty pricey. It'll still be some place tropical, just not sure where. So I've been on line hunting down some good deals. I'm gonna go with one of my bff's Amber. I also have to work on ordering a new pass port since mine is no longer valid.

Another thing coming up that I'm real excited about is Spring Term begins. I am stoked about the new class I'm taking. Adobe Illustrator I've heard both positive and negitive sides to taking the class, but I must take it in order to get my Digital Media class, and it's a follow up for the class that I just took Intro to Computer Graphics. I'm hoping that there aren't going to be any major projects due in the Spring term cause I may wind up taking my vacation at that time. We will see. ;)

As you all know this is a new year....2009! Many people are making resolutions, and already breaking them. So this year I remember watching Oprah and she talked about a dream board (forgive me if the name is wrong). It got me thinking I'll blog about it, and maybe some of it will happen this year or 5 years from now. So here's what my dream board will look like.

1. Go on Vacation (besides annual beach trip)
2. Start my own Photography/Digital Media Business
3. Cook a new meal once a week. (I've actually begun that and it's been pretty fun, and tasty)
4. Date More
5. Sing up for more group actiavities (dance lessons, photography meet ups, cooking, things I like ect)
6. Help out my parents more
7. Spend Less (isn't everyone trying to do this these days?)
8. Start a budget (that would help)
9. Find a job helping a photographer, or in the digital media field.
10.To become a traveling photographer (that would so ROCK!)
11. Fix things around the house.
12. Take better care of myself.

Hope Everyone Has a Happy and Healthy 2009. I'll continue to let you know if any of the following improve or happen through out my blog. Thanks for visiting and don't forget to come back. ;)

Meg :)
